RWANDAIR LAUNCHES ENTEBBE – NAIROBI ROUTE
(Posted 29th January 2015)
‘Now passengers have a real choice again’ quipped a Kampala based travel agent before adding ‘RwandAir is a respected airline. They have new aircraft and a big network, they are punctual and offer good service on board. We already have clients flying with them to Juba. The new flights to Nairobi give us a choice again, more departure times to choose from and very important, lower fares. They were talking about 250 US Dollars return inclusive of taxes but with full service on board. They will quickly fill the gap which Air Uganda’ closure left wide open’.
Indeed will the airline in the morning launch the inaugural nonstop flight from Entebbe to Nairobi, adding to their existing flights via Kigali.
Presently operating a fleet of 7 aircraft, four of them Boeing B737NG’s, two Bombardier CRJ900NextGen’s and one Bombardier Q400NextGen – a second such aircraft will join RwandAir in a few months’ time – has RwandAir made inroads in terms of market share in the Eastern African region and is expected to capture a significant share of the point to point market on the Entebbe to Nairobi route.
The airline has also recently announced the launch of three nonstop flights per week from Kigali to Lusaka from the 29th of March, in conjunction with their daily service to Johannesburg, followed later in the year by flights to Abidjan. Happy Landings!
