ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO OFFER NEW PASSENGER EXPERIENCE AS UGANDA AIRLINES’ FIRST AIRBUS DELIVERY DRAWS NEAR

Ugandan travelers, as well as travelers from and to Uganda, are due for some major changes when passing through Entebbe International Airport.
In time for Christmas will the new Uganda Airlines Airbus A330-800Neo land back home on the 22nd of December this year before in early 2021 then taking to the skies for the first commercial flight.
The three class Airbus is the first of its kind to be delivered to an African airline and it is Uganda Airlines claiming the honours of being the manufacturer’s launch customer for the continent.

Meanwhile is it not only the new aircraft – a second is actually due for delivery in January 2021 – Ugandans have been waiting for but also the completion of the new terminal after years of building delays, the latest being caused by the #COVID19 pandemic.
Time however is now drawing near to actually begin using the new facility, which will bring Entebbe International Airport in line with other newer aviation facilities in Africa, like Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa and the new terminal at the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam.
Details are still awaited when the new terminal will undergo its trial runs before opening it for regular passenger traffic but once that information is available will www.ATCNews.org immediately share it with readers.
