Uganda’s Eagle Air has resumed flying from the International Airport in Entebbe to the South Sudanese town of Yei.
The airline had withdrawn from the route following some contentious issues with South Sudanese officials in Yei leaving wannabe passengers exposed to the dangers of travel by road due to the ongoing insecurity the civil strife brought to the country.
Eagle operates a fleet of LET410’s but also a Beechcraft 1900 and as shown above a Piper Seneca.
The airline flies out of Entebbe unlike some other light aircraft operators which prefer the closer to the city airfield of Kajjansi where their passengers are not subjected to the endless hassles associated today with traveling through an international airport.
A source close to the airline has hinted that, subject to sustained demand, the number of flights could be raised.
