Uganda’s third edition of the ‘Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon’ is scheduled for Saturday the 24th of August 2024 in Kasese, Western Uganda. This major sporting event has already registered participants from over 18 countries from across Africa and including the UK and the United States of America.

Participants from the East African Community pay a registration fee of 50.000 Uganda Shillings while other participants’ fee is 50 US Dollars.
The World Athletics Federation had some time ago approved the chosen route, a key requirement for the international recognition of the event. The route will cross the Equator line near Kasese and offers spectators and runners – on clear days = spectacular sights of Africa’s third highest mountain range, also known as the Mountains of the Moon.
