#TravCulture: UNWTO & AFRICA

If you are a travel enthusiast, you should know that UNWTO means the United Nations World Tourism Organization. I regularly get statistics on tourism in Africa from UNWTO’s endless library (great tip).

However, the UNWTO does more than gather data and statistics, the Secretary General of UNWTO, Ambassador Zurab Pololikashvili mentioned at the Aid for Global Review 2019 session 5 that his top priority is to "position tourism as a top sector in the global Agenda" .

My next question is how high is the priority placed on Africa?

PS: If you know any body that is looking at starting a tour operating/ travel business in Africa but has little or no resources to start?? If you can, please give the person this form to fill. They would be added to a new platform and it would be easy for both local and international tourists to see and book their tours, without them having to spend money on anything.
