UNWTO Secretary General on official working visit to Zambia

The Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Ambassador Zurab Pololikashvili is on an official working visit to the southern African country of Zambia at the invitation of the Zambian Government.
The UN Tourism Chief is expected to arrive in Lusaka on Monday 22nd June 2019 and accompanied by Regional Director for Africa Department Elcia Grandcourt and Musalim Afandiyev, Senior Business Transformation And Reforms Officer.
The Secretary General will be received by the Minister of Tourism Ambassador Charles Banda and his tourism authority delegation.
Ambasssdor Pololikashvili’s team while in Zambia are expected to call on the head of state, H. E. Edgar Lunga, President Of Zambia
The team will also have a networking session with Zambia’s major local tourism stakeholders in the country.
The Secretary General IS scheduled to hold several working sessions with his host and team.
The official visit forms part of Ambassador Pololikashvili’s visit to the African region since he assumed office as the secretary general of UNWTO.
He has to date visited the following member states in the Africa region; Nigeria (West Africa)Côte D’Ivoire (West Africa) Kenya (East Africa) Cabo Verde(West Africa) Republic of Congo (Central Africa) Tunisia (North Africa) and now Zambia as well as Egypt.
