UWA ANNOUNCES LOW SEASON RATES FOR GORILLA TRACKING
(Posted 15th March 2014)
Gorilla tracking in Uganda, for the months of April and May this year, will be considerably more affordable for tourists coming to The Pearl of Africa for a big game safari after the Uganda Wildlife Authority announced that tariffs will be slashed in order to boost the sale of permits during the low season months.
Regular tariffs now stand at 600 US Dollars per person per tracking for foreign nonresident visitors but for April and May the cost is reduced to 350 US Dollars, aimed to attract more tourists to Uganda and in particular into the two gorilla national parks of Bwindi and Mgahinga.
Expatriates resident in Uganda are due to pay a reduced rate of 300 US Dollars, down from the usual 500 US Dollars while Ugandans and other East African citizens can get to see the prized gorillas at a cost of Uganda Shillings 150.000, reduced by 100.000 Uganda Shillings.
