(Posted 13th November 2017)
(Indian Ocean cruises have once again become hugely popular, often also linking the islands with the Africa mainland destinations)
The Seychelles Ports Authority has estimated that at least 36 cruise ships will dock at the port of Victoria on the Seychelles’ main island of Mahe during the current cruise season. Tourism Board CEO Mrs. Sherin Francis equally confirmed that the archipelago will see a significant rise on such port calls. With often more than a thousand passengers then landed in a day will the local economy benefit from organized tours, taxi hire, restaurant visits and purchases of curio items and mementos.
