VICTORIA FALLS SET TO WELCOME KENYA AIRWAYS
(Posted 16th February 2017)
On the 18th of May will Kenya Airways launch flights from Nairobi to Victoria Falls, in conjunction with a final destination Cape Town. The airline will use an Embraer E190 on the route and serve both VFA and CPT three times a week, every Saturday, Monday and Thursday. Fifth freedom traffic rights ensure that Kenya Airways can uplift passengers between the two cities in addition to passengers out of Nairobi.
The flights will leave Nairobi at 07.20 hrs local time, land in Victoria Falls at 10.20 hrs local time and then reach Cape Town at 13.25 hrs, again local time before starting the return journey which will reach VFA at 17.10 hrs and Nairobi late evening at 22.00 hrs local time with easy onward connections to Europe and Asia.
The airline has been operating for some time now flights to Cape Town via the Zambian city of Livingstone, across the Zambezi River from Victoria Falls and the new flights will bring the overall number of Cape Town services to six per week.
The new service will make Kenya Airways the only airline to serve both Livingstone and Victoria Falls and give travelers the option to land either in Zambia or Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile are the three daily services out of Nairobi to Harare continuing, direct as well as via the Malawian city of Lilongwe and via Lusaka, Zambia’s capital city.
