#UGANDA GOLF UNION VENUE FOR DIANI BEACH PROMOTION BY WAKANOW

Riding the crest of its long-standing commitment to promoting sporting activities and leisure across the continent, Wakanow Kenya has teamed up with Diani Beach to organize an upscale sporting initiative at the Uganda Golf Club in Kampala today.
In a statement, the Group Managing Director of Wakanow, Obinna Ekezie, said the golf event complements Wakanow’s ambition to grow Africa’s golfing community and further amplify the significance of relaxation and networking associated with such sporting events.
Mr. Ekezie, who was recently crowned champion of the prestigious Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation Golf Tournament in Lagos, said: “Beyond our focus to consistently expand the frontiers of travel across Africa, we are very passionate about leveraging on sports as a vehicle for promoting leisure, healthy competition and networking among professionals. Our partnership with Magical Kenya reflects our drive to emphasize the complementary relationship between travel and sports, and their benefits for our health and professional lives.”
Speaking ahead of the event which is taking place today, February 21st, Head of African Expansion and Airline Partnerships Mrs. Josephine Fifi Rurangwa said Wakanow will be looking to replicate its success in previous golf tournaments, adding that the event will serve as a hub for travel and hospitality brands in East Africa to network and ultimately promote Magical Kenya as one of Africa’s most spectacular destinations.
Mrs. Rurangwa said: “In the past few weeks, we have been working very hard with our partners at Diani Beach as well as the Kenya Tourism Board to put together a golf night that truly reflects our values of excellence and innovation.”
