Weekend fun with Colobus Conservation

Weekend fun with Colobus

Colobus Conservation has a fun-filled and busy weekend ahead and we would love for you to come and join us.

Firstly we will be hosting our annual tree sale on the 29th and 30th August at Chandarana carpark. This will be the third tree sale we have hosted. Several local tree sellers will be there to sell indigenous trees. Please come and show your support by buying some trees. It is a fantastic way to support local conservation and local businesses.

The planting of indigenous trees in Diani is incredibly important, Diani’s ecosystem is listed as one of the top global biodiversity hotspots by Conservation International. With high levels of endemic and near endemic species, these forests are full of plants and animals found nowhere else in the world. Diani has lost over 80% of the forest over the last 25 years, with the remaining forest patches being both fragmented and isolated. But we can help stop this and restore some of what we have lost by simply planting a few trees!

After all that tree buying and planting why not come and join us at Swahili Beach Resort for some brunch and jazz. Swahili Beach are hosting an afternoon of soothing music and yummy food. The event will be held on the 30th April from 12.30pm. This will only cost 2,000 Ksh and Swahili Beach will be donating part of the proceeds to Colobus Conservation.

So please join us for a weekend full of good food, music and nature!
