With sunshine forecast for virtually every day of the year, Uganda’s biggest appeal may simply be its fabulous climate, reflected in its diverse wildlife, the best fruits you’ve ever tasted and the sunny disposition of her people.
As someone who grew up in the (frequently grey) UK, I often say “I didn’t come here to Uganda for the weather – but it’s a great reason to stay!” And more so this year when the choice across Europe is: very windy wet weather in northern Europe and wild fires in southern Europe.

The muzungu couldn’t quite believe it when we heard that a NetFlix documentary was being dedicated to the very chimpanzees we hear from home! Read more in Chimp Empire: Kibale’s chimpanzees star on NetFlix. The filming is incredible, and the drama is off the scale!

The highlight of a recent journey was the sunset boda boda (motorbike) ride through a tea plantation near Fort Portal. It’s another world in there: the lurid green of the tea bushes contrasts with the winding dusty roads… Read Pig on a boda. (You won’t believe what I saw!)
