World Gorilla Day: A Century of Conservation in Virunga

(Posted 25th September 2025)

On this World Gorilla Day, we are pleased to share a video short that tells the story of those who dedicate their lives to protecting around one-third of the world’s mountain gorilla population in Virunga National Park.

Discover the story and natural treasures of Virunga National Park. This centenary publication traces the history, challenges, and triumphs of Africa’s oldest national park, with all proceeds going to support the Park’s conservation efforts.

Produced in partnership with local cocoa farmers, our delicious vegan chocolate gorillas provide a sustainable livelihood to local communities in eastern Congo while directly supporting gorilla conservation in the Park.
