Once again the Oscars of the Travel Industry have come around! The 21st Annual World Travel Awards are well under way, and we are pleased to announce that we have been nominated for "Africa’s Responsible Tourism Award"! The World Travel Awards acknowledges, rewards and celebrates excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.

The nomination for this prestigious award reaffirms Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps position in the fields of responsible tourism, community awareness and wildlife preservation. Our various projects have not only served to make a difference in the environmental structure of the various ecosystems across the country, but to also improve the lives of many local communities. With the success of the first conservancy in Kenya in 1997, we pioneered the Porini Conservancy Concept in 2005 and have since then set up various other conservancies. Many other tour operators have followed this example and replicated this system into their operations.
