World Travel Awards prepares for Russian debut

The majestic city of St. Petersburg is gearing up to welcome World Travel Awards to Russia for the very first time on 30 September 2017 when it will stage the Europe Gala Ceremony.

Having itself been recognised as “Europe’s Leading Destination” and “World’s Leading Cultural City Destination” in 2016 by WTA voters, the capital of culture will take hosting responsibilities of the glittering red carpet gala ceremony.

WTA joins AHIF and AviaDev in Kigali

Rwanda will welcome World Travel Awards for the first time, with the Africa Gala Ceremony 2017 set to take place in the country’s thriving capital, Kigali, on 10 October.

World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony 2017 will take place at the five star Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre, alongside the Africa Hotel Investment Forum (AHIF) and AviaDev Africa (10-12 October).

5th annual World Ski Awards finalists unveiled

World Ski Awards has announced the finalists for its 2017 programme. Voting runs until 22 September with ski consumers and professionals asked to make their voice heard and vote for who they think should be crowned the best. Winners will be announced at the 5th annual World Ski Awards which will take place in Kitzbühel, Austria, over the weekend of 17 -19 November.

Voting opens for 2017 World Spa Awards

Voting has opened for the 3rd annual World Spa Awards. The nominees now face the all-important 16 week voting window.

Members of the spa and wellness community are invited to vote from the shortlist of 2017 World Spa Awards finalists. The winners will be revealed at the glittering 2017 World Spa Awards Ceremony being staged in Vietnam at the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa on the 9 December.

WTA Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony a huge success

Hospitality leaders from across the region turned out in force earlier this month as the 2017 Indian Ocean winners were revealed. The prestigious World Travel Awards Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony took place before a capacity audience on 8 July at the stunning five-star Sun Aqua Vilu Reef. Among the event partners were leading digital provider, Dhiraagu.
