World Travel Market (WTM) Africa, in partnership with CBISN, today announced the strategic enhancement of its China Ready® Workshop. The workshop will be rescheduled for April 2026 and transformed into a more accessible Continuing Professional Education (CPE) format.
The decision comes in direct response to industry feedback, with many exhibitors and tourism professionals expressing interest but unable to leave their stands for the full-day workshop originally scheduled for April 2025.
“We’ve listened carefully to our stakeholders and recognised an opportunity to make this valuable training more accessible to everyone in the African tourism sector,” says Reanté Naidoo, Buyer & Digital Director: Travel, Tourism & Creative Industries at RX Africa. “By restructuring to a modular CPE format, we can significantly reduce costs while allowing professionals to earn recognised credentials without extended time away from their stands or businesses.”
The enhanced programme will introduce China Ready® in stages at WTM Africa over the next few years: the essential knowledge module – covering history, culture, and customs – launches in 2026, followed by Marketing to China in 2027, and Business in China in 2028. This phased approach allows professionals to earn CPE credits gradually while attending sessions that fit their schedules.
Enhanced Accessibility Benefits:
? Pay as you learn: The China Ready® Programme is now divided across three years,
allowing individual module purchases instead of a single upfront payment.
? Flexible scheduling: Shorter, focused sessions that work around exhibition
commitments.
? Professional recognition: Earn formal CPE credits with each module to advance
career credentials.
? Optimised learning: Focused, digestible modules improve knowledge retention
and practical application.
