The Better Borders report is a joint initiative by WTTC and SITA.

It outlines how cutting-edge border technologies and progressive digital visa policies can transform traditional borders into seamless, secure, and strategic national assets.

It includes case studies of pioneering nations that are reimagining their borders, not as defensive barriers, but as intelligent gateways that are catalysts for economic growth and national prosperity through trade, tourism, innovation, and investment.

The report presents six foundational principles and eighteen actionable recommendations, grouped into two focus areas:
1.      Visas & Travel Authorisations

·      Economic & Security Implications of Visa Policies

·      Visa Types & Policy Trends

·      Recommendations

2.      Digital Border Technology

·      The Future of Digital Travel

·      Border Technologies

·      Recommendations

By adopting the recommendations in this report, nations can transform their borders from points of friction into strategic national assets that make travel smoother, more secure and enable greater economic prosperity and growth.
