Save the Elephants

Ever wondered why some elephants in Samburu love to visit our research camp? Well we think it’s partly due to their acute sense of smell. WATCH this video by Robbie Labanowski as we witness Sarara, the bull elephant, in our camp inspecting and smelling collars once worn by other elephants, and listen as our founder Iain Douglas-Hamilton explains how elephants are capable of ‘‘inhaling megabytes of information that we can’t even possibly envisage.”

PAINTED DOGS ENCOUNTER MAY 2018 – KARIBA PACK – RUIA RIVER

Look what our Parks Boss came across in May near the Ruia River

Fantastic sighting. Very envious !!!

Let’s hope this small pack increases soon and grows back to the size it was. Sadly over the years, Vehicle hits and poaching/snares has taken its toll on our Kariba pack
