| In an effort to establish a sustainable elephant population at Longhill Reserve in the Eastern Cape, two Zululand bulls were translocated last week. This follows last year’s successful move of a family of five elephants from Asante Sana Game Reserve in the Karoo to Longhill, which have adapted well. Munywana Conservancy in Zululand carried out the most recent operation, which will see the mature dominant and younger bull complete the herd and facilitate natural breeding dynamics. |
