Dear MOUNTAIN BIKE FRIENDS

February 24th to 26th is going to be another great weekend on the Mountain and we do hope you can join us!

What to expect in 2023?

Full details of all the races, how to register, where to stay, and all the other essential information needed to make sure the event runs smoothly can be found on the 10to4 website, so do go and have a poke around when you have a spare few minutes.

This year, as well as the established and well-loved Tropic Air 10to4 main races – the EXTREME, CLASSIC, RUSH & SLIDE – a new two-day race – the WILD – will be on offer. Not quite as hardcore as the Extreme, the Wild will still be a serious challenge, and will also be open to e-bikers as well as those relying solely on pedal power.  Check out the Race Details page on our website for the full lowdown on all the options.

The MINI 10to4 will be held on Sunday 26th February and once again will be the perfect opportunity for budding cyclists (under the age of 13 years old) to get involved.

This year, there will be more to do for those who aren’t racing, with lots of stalls and activities at at Borana Race Village – full programme to follow as we confirm details.

We will once again also be offering camping at Race Village, and now that (fingers crossed) social distancing is no longer compulsory, the full Bike Drop service will give your bike and you a lift to the Race Start Point ready for you to ride on Saturday morning.  Full information on this and everything else 2023 10to4 related will be published on the website as we finalise the details.

We are so excited to be planning next year’s event and can’t wait to meet up with old friends and new for the ride of a lifetime!

See you on the Mountain!

Why take part in the 2023 10to4?

1. Support the Mount Kenya Trust: the 10to4 is the key fundraising event for Mount Kenya Trust who continue to work incredibly hard to protect and conserve the forest, water, people and wildlife around Africa’s second-highest mountain.  In 2022, much of the funding raised by the 10to4 event was used to fight the devastating fires that ravaged our beautiful mountain during February and March.  Without the 10to4 funds, we would have had to dig into other budgets which would have impacted greatly on our ability to deliver the many projects we spearhead.  So thank you 2022 competitors, you’re entry fees were very well spent!

2. It’s good for your health: riding a bicycle regularly is one of the best ways to reduce your risk of health problems associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Keep fit by riding regularly and join us for this fun event.

3. It’s good for your soul: not only are you raising money for a valuable cause but the fresh air and beautiful scenery is good for your mind and your soul.

4. It’s good for your social life: now that we’re all getting used to being out and about again, the 10to4 Mountain Bike Challenge is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.  It’s 100% family-friendly, so bring granny and the kids for a fun weekend, even if they don’t fancy racing themselves!

If you’d like to get REALLY involved, we’re seeking a title sponsor for the Mini 10to4 2023 edition set for February 26th.

The KSh 300,000 sponsorship package will include;
? Branded bottle for each mini cyclist
? Logo on a t-shirt for the mini cyclist
? Branding opportunities – bring your marketing materials (teardrops, tents, bunting)
? 4 social media posts
? Your team participation
? Recognition by awarding each mini winner
? Company logo on podium banner, event program, 10to4 website, MKT website, all mailings for the event
