KENYA GOLF ESTATES / LAVISH GOLF SET FOR MAJOR EXHIBITION IN NAIROBI

The 2016 edition of the Kenya Golf & Estates Expo that will be taking place in Nairobi at the Ngong Race Course in May from Friday the 20th to Sunday 22nd, open daily from 09.00 hrs until 18.00 hrs. Once again does the event aim to promote the game of golf not just in Kenya but across the Eastern African region. Exhibitors will be drawn from among real estate developers and agents, golf tourism providers, golf clubs and related service industries keen on tapping into a growing market segement, not just in Kenya and East Africa but across the world.

Kenya has of late seen a surge in golf estate developments, led by the country’s arguably best course, Vipingo Ridge, while especially in the Rift Valley additional developments seek to lure a wealthy clientele from both West and East to invest. Championship courses combine with gated residential estates and climatic conditions second to none offer an attractive package for retirees seeking to escape the winter of the Northern hemisphere with flying times from Europe under nine hours while, when coming from the Arabian Gulf, this is reduced to a mere five hours.

While golfing and all the related services are most developed in Kenya at this moment in time has Uganda recently seen the emergence of the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort, where residential villas and condominiums are also available. In Tanzania meanwhile it is the KiliGolf venture outside Arusha, on which a feature article is in the works to showcase the growing range of world class facilities in the Eastern African region for golfing aficionados.
