CELEBRATING CUISINE ON REUNION

The Union of Trades and Industries of the Reunion Hotel (UMIH), the Reunion Catering Club in partnership with the Reunion Island Tourism, the Reunion Federation of Tourism, Fresh Import, Meat Bourbon and ID Distribution, tomorrow hold the 22nd edition of an annual food celebration festival, this Thursday, June 07th.
The 30 participating restaurant owners will work hard to please gourmets and gourmands and will offer a full menu (starter, main course, dessert) offered at half of its usual price . Local products, diversity and originality of flavors will be enjoyed in the tables of the island, on the occasion of "celebrate the kitchen!".
The Reunion Island Tourism (IRT) joins the feast of the kitchen which is an integral part of the cultural heritage of Reunion. Note that for nearly twenty years, Reunion is the only French department to celebrate the feast of cuisine that has ceased to exist in France. The festival of gastronomy is also celebrated throughout France and is scheduled this year from 28 to 30 September 2018.
As a family, as a couple, alone or with friends this will be a day to enjoy taste and savor various traditional and innovative dishes offered by the chefs.
Visitors to the island are advised to book their tables among the thirty restaurants from around the island participating in this event and are open for lunch and dinner. Some institutions may extend the operation for two or three days on their own initiative.
