Uganda is Kenya’s number one regional source market for visitors. 234,556 Ugandan travelers crossed into Kenya in 2025 alone, nearly a third of all African arrivals into the country. Kenya is now targeting 300,000 Ugandan visitors in 2026, and much of that growth is flowing straight to the Coast.
It is in this spirit that the journey to the 5th Uganda–Kenya Coast Tourism & Innovation Summit 2026 has officially begun.
On 26–27 October 2026, Mombasa will host leaders, policymakers, investors, innovators and tourism professionals from Uganda, Kenya and across East Africa. They’ll spend two days on focused, practical dialogue under this year’s theme:
“Unlocking Tourism Opportunities: Resolving Policy Bottlenecks through Technology, Youth and Seamless Mobility across East Africa.”
Five editions on, the partnership between Uganda and the Kenyan Coast has grown beyond a conference. It’s a shared commitment, built on complementarity rather than competition, to make travel between our two countries easier, smarter and more rewarding for visitors and businesses.
This year, the event will move from conversation to commitment, taking place at the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa, Mombasa:

Mombasa is looking forward to hosting leaders, policymakers and tourism stakeholders in Mombasa this October, as together we shape the next chapter of East African tourism.
