82nd IATA Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit, 6-8 June 2026, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

It’s just less than two months before the 82nd IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS) taking place from 6-8 June 2026 at the ??????Windsor Oceanico Convention Center, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, hosted by LATAM Airlines Group.

Thank you to those who have already registered. If you plan to attend but have not registered, I encourage you to register as soon as possible.

The program is taking shape. Highlights include:

 

  • The CEO Forum, as well as panel discussions on crucial industry topics
  • The Director General’s report on the air transport industry
  • A revised financial outlook for 2026
  • Sustainability, including a focus on ramping up Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)

 

In addition, there will be two formal press conferences with IATA’s Director General Willie Walsh, IATA Chairman and IAG CEO Luis Gallego and LATAM CEO Roberto Alvo, as well as an extensive program of specialized media briefings. As always, IATA subject matter experts will be available for interviews throughout the event.

Please take careful note:

 

  • The activities will start on SATURDAY (6 JUNE) and finish on MONDAY (8 JUNE). 
  • The media program kicks off first thing on Saturday morning (6 June) with Regional Briefings starting at 09h00.
  • The Media Center will be available from 08h00 on Saturday, 6 June.

 

 

Accreditation and Media Facilities

The IATA AGM is an invitation-only event. Sessions are open to pre-registered and accredited media, who will have access to AGM and WATS sessions, specialized briefings, and full media facilities, including dedicated workspaces, wireless internet, and printing services.

 

Registration, Accommodation and Visas

Please register early for this event. Once your registration is confirmed, you will receive an email with instructions on hotel arrangements in Rio de Janeiro and details on visa requirements for media traveling to Brazil. Please note that registration will be open until 01st of  June 2026.
