A ‘bird’s eye view’ of Uganda’s attractions …

PARAMOTOR TOUR OF UGANDA – FIRST CLIP NOW ON YOUTUBE

(Posted 05th February 2015)

The first 5 minute long ‘trailer’ of edited footage from the end 2014 Paramotor Tour of Uganda is now available and the sneak preview of it promises an exciting main feature when it is ready for release.

Main sponsors Brussels Airlines will be screening the documentary on flights into Entebbe to showcase Uganda’s unique and varied attractions to passengers destined to the Pearl of Africa, helping to promote tourism to the country.

A range of lodges, hotels and adventure companies have contributed to make this a reality, allowing a broad overview of the key national parks and natural attractions, besides adventure activities like rafting on the upper Nile.

The Ministry of Tourism was instrumental to secure permits and waived entrance and filming fees for the parks, a generous gesture reciprocated by the pilot of the tour who gave Uganda’s tourism ministry and subordinate bodies like the Uganda Wildlife Authority full access to the footage, both edited and unedited.

Uganda earlier in the week released data showing that 2014, inspite of all the challenges the country encountered vis a vis the African Ebola scare and problems with a tourism downturn in a neighbouring country affecting Uganda through lower add on tour sales, was another record year for arrivals and revenues, perhaps lower than expected and hoped for but still better than the previous year.
