Our Kafue Camps…
Musekese Camp established in 2012 by Phil and Tyrone is our flagship bush camp, situated in the heart of the Kafue National Park – it is in the the very best area for game viewing and there are no other camps around so one is not disturbed by other vehicles.
Musekese Camp has just five tented chalets, activities include game drives, night, and day, walking safaris, very productive boat-based safaris and trips to the Musekese Conservation base camp.
Ntemwa-Busanga Camp is our smallest and most intimate camp, it is styled in the quintessentially Zambian bush camp style, using all locally sourced materials and traditionally thatched chalets, of which there are just four. Ntemwa-Busanga Camp is located on the Busanga Plains area of the Kafue National Park but away from the busier central zones and within perfect reach of all the highlights that the Busanga has to offer.
Access to Musekese Camp is via Lufupa Airstrip and Ntemwa-Busanga Camp via Busanga Plains Airstrip (daily flights, seat rates). |

Our Lower Zambezi Camps…
The Lower Zambezi Camps founded by Luke & Kyle in 2018 are based on their belief that the most important part of a safari is finding that connection to the bush by keeping things simple and enriching. When we step out of our routines, typical day to day concerns fade into the background, magnificent environments humble us and values shift, even if just slightly. Chula & Kutali offer a fantastic contrast to the larger higher end luxury camps in the the Lower Zambezi.
Kutali Camp is in the remote and game-rich eastern section of the Lower Zambezi National Park, famous for its beauty and variety of activities such as canoeing, game drives, walking safaris, night drives, boat excursions and Tiger fishing. Kutali is located in a pristine Winterthorn forest and whilst all activities are on offer here as they are at Chula Island Camp, Kutali is perfect for night-drives and walking safaris with big game.
Chula Island Camp is unique in the Lower Zambezi landscape and is situated on the Katengahumba Island, a massive mature island full of game only accessible by boat or pontoon. Chula Island Camp is a real retreat perfect for time spent on the water along with game drives in a hugely productive area. Kutali and Chula have just five tents each and can sleep ten guests at maximum.
We recommend a minimum four-night stay in the Lower Zambezi split between both camps for the best experience. Access to the Lower Zambezi is via Jeki Airstrip (daily flights, seat rates). |

Musekese Conservation was founded by our company as part of our commitment to conservation, and with every bed night we set aside USD40 that goes directly to the cause – simply by visiting you are making an enormous difference. 2022 was a busy year for the project as we continued to provide a high level of support to the Kafue National Park; this came in the form of anti-poaching and law enforcement, research and monitoring, fire prevention, training and women’s empowerment amongst other activities. The project also warmly welcomed new team members who came through our intern program.
Much of the work done has been in partnership with organizations including African Parks, Game Rangers International, Panthera and the Zambia Carnivore Programme. We look forward to strengthening these working relationships into 2023 and beyond.
If you would like to be added to our conservation newsletter mailing list for more detailed information on the year’s activities please email us here. |
