African aviation and tourism continue to gain global recognition, with several industry leaders taking top honours at the 2026 World Travel Awards.
Kenya Airways was named Africa’s Leading Airline, while its Pride Lounge won Africa’s Leading Airline Lounge.
Ethiopian Airlines took Africa’s Leading Airline – Business Class, while ShebaMiles won Africa’s Leading Airline Rewards Programme.
RwandAir Ltd led the continent in Customer Experience, while ?? FlySafair was recognised as Africa’s Leading Low-Cost Airline.
Julius Nyerere International Airport was named Africa’s Leading Airport, alongside recognition for Tanzania’s safari aviation and tourism operators.
