Africa‘s aviation regulatory landscape continued to evolve during Week 28, with significant policy developments aimed at strengthening market liberalization, regional integration, aviation safety, and regulatory oversight.
Among this week’s key highlights:
The European Parliament approved Croatia‘s accession to the EU –Morocco Euro-Mediterranean Aviation Agreement, extending the EU’s liberalized aviation framework to all member states and creating new opportunities to enhance air connectivity, tourism, trade, and investment between Croatia and Morocco.
ASECNA officially integrated Saint-Louis and Ziguinchor airports in Senegal, together with Nema Airport in Mauritania, into its community network. The move strengthens regional cooperation, harmonizes airport management and safety oversight, and supports improved operational efficiency across West Africa.
