Routes & Connectivity Trails
Africa’s connectivity continued to expand in Week 25, with five new international routes launched, according to AeroTrail’s route tracking.
The new services comprise:
1 intra-African route
4 intercontinental routes, including:
3 services linking Africa and Europe
1 service connecting Africa with East Asia
Notably, three of the five new routes are operated by African-based airlines, highlighting the continent’s growing role in strengthening global air connectivity.
The week’s standout development was TAAG-Linhas Aereas de Angola‘ inaugural service between Luanda and Guangzhou, China—the longest new route launched during the week.
