Welcome to the 2026 AFRAA SkyConnect Leadership Dialogues session where industry leaders discuss critical matters and how to forge a way forward with practical and actionable solutions.

This second August Edition of the AFRAA SkyConnect Leadership Dialogues will host Ms. Mary Muthoni Muriuki, Principal Secretary – State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards in Kenya and Prof. Yap Boum II, Head of Emergency Preparedness and Response Division – Africa CDC

In this dialogue, we will engage Ms. Muriuki and Prof. Yap on Africa’s continental and national preparedness for public health emergencies affecting aviation, drawing on recent experience with Ebola and Mpox, and how stronger coordination between aviation and public health institutions, at both the continental and national level, can strengthen Africa’s aviation health, security while safeguarding regional connectivity, in line with the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM) agenda.
