Africa Travel Association confirms new congress dates for Kigali / Rwanda

ALL IS WELL WHICH ENDS WELL AS THE AFRICA TRAVEL ASSOCIATION SETS NEW DATES FOR KIGALI

(Posted 25th February 2017)

The Africa Travel Association, now part of the Corporate Council on Africa, has just announced the dates for the 2016/17 World Congress in Kigali / Rwanda, which had to be postponed last year.
August 28th to 31st has been set for this global event, ahead of the annual ‘Kwita Izina‘ Gorilla Naming Ceremony which is now taking place every first weekend in September outside the town of Musanze at the Kinigi national park headquarters.
The two events combined are bound to turn the spotlight on Rwanda once again, where conservation efforts have been exemplary to protect the endangered mountain gorillas found in the Virunga volcanoes range in the border triangle between Rwanda, Uganda and Congo.
RwandAir, the national airline of Rwanda, has also indicated that they plan to launch direct flights from Kigali to New York later this year, and while the Africa Travel Association offices have move to Washington DC, where the Corporate Council on Africa is based, will the new route no doubt be a major catalyst to promote travel and trade between the ‘Land of a Thousand Hills‘ and the United States of America.

The programme details will be available here as soon as ATA has released particulars, including links to where interested parties can sign up, as participants but also as event sponsors.
See you in Kigali in August and September …
