The beginning of every year brings with it hope and optimism.
Airkenya has jumped on the bandwagon as we prepare for a great year ahead.
We are starting with a few new developments to kick of 2022.   


Angama Airstrip Closure

We are using the Kichwa Tembo airstrip until further notice as the alternative to the Angama Airstrip which is closed due to a planned upgrade. 

Minimum Passengers

From now on, we require a minimum of only two (02) passengers for all domestic routes. Our international services (Serengeti, Kilimanjaro, and Entebbe) will maintain the minimum requirement of four (04) passengers to operate. 

Updated Covid-19 Travel Requirements

All travellers coming into Kenya are required to provide:A Covid-19 Vaccination certificate (18 years and above). A negative Covid-19 PCR test certificate not older than 72 hours (Children aged below 5 years are exempt).An International Health Surveillance QR code then submit daily health information to the jitenge platform for 14 consecutive days and Show no flu-like symptoms.

NB: Upload both Covid-19 Vaccination and the negative PCR test certificates to the Global Haven portal in adherence with the Government’s paperless verification policy.

We still provide private PCR testing within our premise for USD 67 should a traveller require one.

New Management at Aerolink Uganda

At the helm of Aerolink’s management is Captain Catherine Mugo, who took over as the Country Manager late last year. She brings a wealth of experience exceeding 13 years within the aviation industry, having moved from our subsidiary,  Regional Air Services in Tanzania, where she was the Director of Operations.
At the same time, Dorothy Kiprono took over as the Finance Manager bringing in a decade’s wealth of experience in Finance and Procurement within the aviation industry. She too, moved from Regional Air Services, where she was the Chief Accountant.
Expect even greater things from the Aerolink team in 2022! 

January 2022 Highlights

New Route – Tsavo National Park landing at Finch Hattons airstrip. Connects to Mara at 1030 hrs, Northern Safari Circuit at 1000 hrs and Kilimanjaro at 1330 hrs.New Stops – Kamok airstrip in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki and Sasaab airstrip in Samburu.

New Connection – Mara to the Northern Safari Circuit (Nanyuki, Loisaba, Meru, Lewa and Samburu) at 1000 hrs in the morning via Wilson Airport.
