Flights have resumed yesterday following the re-opening of the main airport and the airport on Rodrigues after weather conditions were judged safe for flight operations.
Flights to/from Rodrigues have been rescheduled since yesterday morning and all three Air Mauritius ATR 72 have been fully dedicated to the Mauritius-Rodrigues route. Air Mauritius is going to operate 48 flights to and from Rodrigues until the evening of today.
Air Mauritius will also be providing travel solutions for all stranded passengers by Sunday 21st of January to clear the backlog created by the halt of flights prior and during tropical cyclone Berguitta.
International flights have also resumed and like with the services to Rodrigues are all efforts being made to clear the passenger backlog for travelers flying out of Mauritius and planning to arrive on the island.
Flights by Air Austral on the neighbouring island of Reunion have also normalised and Air Seychelles will be operating their scheduled services to and from Mauritius too now that the storm has passed.
