Air Seychelles will mark another milestone this August by operating for the first time into Kazakhstan’s largest metropolis and most popular cultural hub, Almaty.

The series of charter flights, to be operated by the airline’s A320neo jetliner, offering 168 seats in a two class cabin layout of business and economy, is expected to bring over 500 visitors to the Seychelles, each spending 10 nights on a combination of the main island, Mahe, along with Praslin and La Digue, taking part in various fun, authentic and safe activities.

For this new market to Seychelles, the initial phase is to introduce the national flag carrier and destination Seychelles to the people of Kazakhstan.
After this awareness and interest is built, a more long-term series of flights will commence in October for the winter months. The first flight set to depart Almaty International Airport on 02nd of August proceeding over 9 hours is expected to land at the Seychelles International Airport by mid-morning on 03 rd of August, 2021.

The plans underscore the ongoing efforts by Tourism Seychelles to tap into new markets and bring much needed tourists, and their dollars, to the islands where tourism is a cornerstone of the local economy.
