Air Uganda goes on record, UCAA remains silent

AIR UGANDA ISSUES PUBLIC STATEMENT TO TELL THE FACTS AS UCAA REMAINS SHTUMM

(Posted 20th June 2014)

After breaking the story yesterday of the grounding of international flights by Ugandan registered airlines following the panic suspension of AOC’s by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority has Air Uganda also come out with a statement by CEO Cornwell Muleya, further clarifying on the reasons their flights had to be suspended and fundamentally confirming the story told here.

Notably have the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority not issued any statements as the beleaguered regulatory body continues to struggle to put the audit findings by ICAO right, leaving the public in the dark but for the vigilance of aviation pundits and as of tonight also the local media which followed up on the story told here yesterday.
