(Posted 05th April 2018)

Air Austral received the "Best Website" award at the French Golden Travel Awards 2018, held recently at the legendary Lido in Paris. This 10th edition has recognized the best companies in the tourism sector through ten categories of "Travel Gold".

Marie-Joseph Malé, Chief Executive Officer of Air Austral said: "We are very pleased to receive this award which reflects the image of our company among tourism professionals. This distinction is the result of the investment of all our teams who work every day to offer our customers the best possible service. "

Air Austral is constantly looking for improvements in its product and services and its revamped website offers a range of innovative services. Beyond traditional services such as highlighting the company’s promotional offers, online registration, booking management, the choice of meal requests, booking with capricorn loyalty points, the purchase of additional luggage, seats or other products from its range of "Extra", the company offers a complementary palette to facilitate the best shopping experience of its customers and open up great prospects for travel.

Meanwhile is the partnership with Air Madagascar gaining pace, after Air Austral last year acquired 49 percent of the airline. For the summer are several triangular flights planned to connect Paris via Antananarivo with St. Denis, the capital of the French Indian Ocean island of Reunion. It is understood that at least one flight a week by Air Austral to Marseille will also route via the Madagascar capital.
Network alignment too is being sought by both companies to optimize the use of aircraft and offer travelers better connectivity and more departure choices.
