An Update on the Mount Kenya 10to4 Challenge

David Kinjah & The Sossi Simbaz take on the 10to4 Challenge

David Kinjah, mentor to Chris Froome, and his Sossi Simbaz will be aiming for glory at the Fly540 10to4 Mountain Bike Challenge on February 12th, 13th & 14th this year.

They will be taking on teams & individuals from around East Africa, South Africa, The Netherlands, Germany & UK making Kenya’s most popular cycling event a truly international one.

The race village is based at Borana Conservancy and routes take in the spectacular scenery of Mount Kenya and surrounding areas such as Kisima Farm & the Ngare Ndare Forest while dodging elephants and other local fauna.

In its15th year, the 10to4 continues to grow in popularity, generously supported by title sponsor, Fly540 and a number of other key sponsors including Highlands Water, Tropic Air, Braeburn Schools, Flamingo Horticulture and Dormans Coffee.

Entries for the 10to4 close on January 30th with races to suit all ages and capabilities, from 4 year olds on balance bikes to professionals. Go towww.10to4.org for all details and online entry.

The event raises funds for the projects of Mount Kenya Trust, a not for profit organisation working in partnership with Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and Kenya Forest Service (KFS) to protect the life sustaining ecosystem of Mount Kenya. MKT runs community health & education projects alongside tree planting, fence maintenance and anti poaching patrols.
