We’re delighted to share that Gamewatcher Safaris has won the 2026 Skal Sustainable Tourism Award ? in the tour operator and travel agents category.
And there’s an extra reason to celebrate: this is the second time Gamewatcher Safairs has received a Skal Sustainble Tourism Award.
Skål International is a global professional organisation for tourism leaders, and its Sustainable Tourism Awards recognise organisations whose work demonstrates practical, implemented approaches to environmental protection and responsible tourism.
This year’s award was selected from 74 entries across five categories by an international jury of tourism and sustainability professionals.
The award was accepted on behalf of Gamewatchers Safaris by our Head Product Consultant Ashley Dixon,, who represented us at the 85th Skål World Congress in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa.
This recognition reflects the collective work of our Gamewatcher Safaris and Porini Camp teams, community and conservation partners and the long-term effort to make tourism a positive force for wildlife conservation, habitat protection and local communities.
