ANGAMA MARA AIRFIELD CLOSED FOR EXPANSION AND UPGRADE

Following the takeover of the Angama Mara Airfield last year by the Kenyan government has the Kenya Airport Authority now closed the field to facilitate the lengthening of the runway and the construction of a perimeter fence, ATCNews has learned.
Guests destined for the Angama Lodge will have to use the Kichwa Tembo while those staying at the Angama (mobile) Camp will use either the Kichwa Tembo or the Mara Serena airstrips for arrivals and departures.
The longer distance to the lodge from the airstrip will be made up by an extended transfer / game drive experience along the way through the Mara Triangle.
