In a series of helicopter incidents in Kenya did one person on the ground die in the latest accident reported by an aviation source in Nairobi.

ATCNews had reported yesterday about two helicopter crashes, just hours from each other in and near Wajir in Northern Kenya:

#Kenya – Lucky escape for crews of two helicopters in Wajir

In the latest incident did a person walk into the back rotor of the helicopter, which resulted in his instant death and damage to the helicopter’s rear section. The Pro Flight owned and operated Eurocopter AS 350B3 Ecureuil, registered as 5Y-HNB, MSN 4108, had landed in Masalani, Garissa County to deliver and collect examination documents.

Road transport into the northern Kenyan region is presently made extremely difficult if not impossible in some areas due to the current El Nino prompted heavy rainfall which has rendered roads impassable, necessitating airborne assistance for supplies and administrative matters.
