ATA members are heading to Uganda

TWO WEEKS AND COUNTING FOR ATA TO COME TO UGANDA

(Posted 27th October 2014)

Uganda’s capital Kampala is getting ready to welcome the Africa Travel Association Annual World Congress, which will be held at the lakeside resort and conference complex of Munyonyo from 11th to 16th of November.

ATA members and delegations are expected to begin arriving in Uganda from early next month when the local chapter has arranged for a number of pre-conference tours for delegates, generously supported by the Uganda Wildlife Authority which has made a 50 percent rebate available for congress participants.

Post-congress tours will also be available with the same terms and conditions extended and valid until the 23rd of November inclusive, giving ample time to discover the Pearl of Africa which in recent years has become one of Africa’s foremost adventure tourism destinations.

Partner airline Brussels Airlines is offering special fares for US participants from their New York gateway via Brussels to Entebbe and it is understood that some seats are still available for those pondering their participation in this year’s ATA gala event. Visa for most visitors are available on arrival at Entebbe International Airport where the host country ATA team will also have a support desk and while all arriving passengers will have to go through the health check, can they be assured that Uganda and the neighbouring East African community countries are all Ebola free. Uganda’s Ministry of Tourism, the Uganda Tourism Board, the Uganda Wildlife Authority and the country’s tourism private sector are all ready and geared up to extend the warmest welcome to the ATA visitors – so see you all in Munyonyo in just over two weeks’ time.
