Today, 12th of May 2026, will be the swearing in of H.E. Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for another term of office as President of the Republic of Uganda.
A large number of foreign dignitaries including Presidents and Prime Ministers are expected to attend the event, which follows his election victory in January 2026.
The event, for which some 40.000 guests are expected at the ceremonial grounds in Kololo, will be further elevated by the day having been declared a public holiday, giving Ugandans across the country ample opportunity to witness the ceremony on Television.
