What does it take to be an Air Traffic Controller?

We hope you’ll join us on Friday, the 25th of March for the 4th episode of the Focus Sessions.

We’ll be talking about a career in Air Traffic Control (ATC). Our guest will be Marvin Rangarira.

Marvin started his career as an air traffic controller in Zimbabwe. From there, he joined one of the leading Air Navigation Service Providers in South Africa, ATNS. He now works as an ATC Training Specialist at Dutch Air Traffic Control (LVNL).
We will be looking at a career in air traffic control and talk about:

Where did his dream to become an Air Traffic Controller start?
What lessons are there to be learned from his journey?
How can you deal with change in your career, especially if you cross cultural borders too?
What can be improved in training and selection of ATCOs?
And much more

This episode of the Focus Sessions is made possible through the support of one of our airlines partners – RwandAir.

RwandAir provides transport to the experts of the Foundation and is a partner in the first AviAssist Safety Promotion Centre (ASPC), the ASPC-Rwanda.
