Aviation Safety courses come to Kigali

AVIATION FOUNDATION GROUP CHOOSES KIGALI AS VENUE FOR KEY TRAINING SEMINARS

Only twenty places will be available for a certification course offered by AVIASSIST Foundation, when between the 18th and 20th of November the subject of ‘Airworthiness’ is being discussed, dissected and fully explored before the participants will get a globally recognized certificate of participation on the subject.

The main theme of the event was named as:

Understand, apply & audit airworthiness

The course features all aspects of airworthiness from the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards and leading regulators such as the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the US FAA. The rules are explained in general terms but the fundamental principles are also detailed which will allow greater benefit from the course. The course addresses the key aspects of design, construction, maintenance and operation of aircraft across a wide spectrum of technologies met in aerospace.

Subjects taught during the three day course will include:

· Initial airworthiness certification

· Main regulatory regimes

· Verification and validation

· Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs)

· Organisational approvals

· Just culture

· Auditing techniques

· Auditing techniques role plays

· Occurence reporting

· Human factors

· Continuous & continuing airworthiness

The course will last a full 3 days and is a combination of lectures, group work and a number of exercises. All delegates will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course.

The instructors for the course are Harry Buimer & Rik van Zwol who will take participants through this three days intensive learning experience. The course will be of particular value to suppliers, operators, MRO staff, manufacturers and civil aviation authorities who are concerned with the continuing airworthiness and/or certification of aircraft and their systems and therefore of crucial importance to enhance competence and skills.
