  • Badr Airlines has resumed flights from Khartoum International Airport (KRT) to 11 destinations: Kassala and Dongola domestically as well as Jeddah, Cairo, Riyadh, Doha, Juba, Entebbe, Addis Ababa, Asmara, Istanbul, and Muscat internationally.
  • The privately-owned Sudanese carrier’s three international routes are new for the Northern Winter 2026/27 (NW26) season, operated with a mix of Bombardier CRJ200 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft, according to AeroRoutes.
  • Khartoum–Addis Ababa (ADD) started October 25 with three weekly CRJ200 flights, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
  • Khartoum–Muscat (MCT) started October 26 with one weekly 737-800 flight. Flight J4610 leaves Khartoum on Mondays at 2330L (2130Z) and lands in Muscat at 0600L (0200Z) the next day, and return flight J4611 leaves Muscat on Tuesdays at 0730L (0330Z), arriving in Khartoum at 1000L (0800Z).
  • Khartoum–Asmara (ASM) started October 28 with three weekly CRJ200 flights on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
  • Despite reopening to civilian traffic, Khartoum Airport is still subject to infrequent attacks by the insurgent Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the most recent being in October.
  • Badr’s fleet entails three Boeing 737-800s and two CRJ200s.
  • For the duration of the closure of Khartoum International Airport, Badr shifted its operations to Port Sudan where it continues to run regular flights to Doha, Kassala, Khartoum, Jeddah, and Cairo.
  • Fellow carriers Tarco Air and Sudan Airways already operate internationally from Khartoum serving destinations in Egypt and Saudi Arabia primarily.
