I want to ride my bicycle………….

Having played a part in the growth of mountain biking in Kenya over the past ten years, I can only count myself as fortunate to see how far it has come over the years. To me, it came with setting a goal and working hard towards achieving it by making things happen within myself and for others. With the availability of decent and affordable equipment coupled with growing interest, many events came up which saw a full calendar of mountain biking in Kenya. Some are still going and many more are coming up. The 10to4 for example, is one of Kenya’s most popular MTB Charity Challenges that has continuously grown in popularity over the past ten years.

Through hard and consistent training, I have had the opportunity to get sponsorship from individuals and organizations, as well as to meet and bike with some of the greatest biking legends such as Mark Beaumont (author of the African Solo), Hans Rey (pioneer of stunt and extreme Mountain biking) and Danny Macaskill (considered as one of the best stunts and tricks master), and take part in one of most extreme Mountain bike events of its time – The Trans Wales. It’s been a rewarding journey thus far and I will keep biking on…
