Botswana will slaughter 25 elephants to celebrate the country’s 60th Anniversary of Independence

Botswana will be celebrating the country’s 60th Anniversary of Independence on Wednesday, the 30th of September 2026. And somehow the government in Gaborone is planning to kill nearly 25 elephants for the Diamond Jubilee occasion. Reports from the Southern African country reveal that Botswana’s 60th Independence celebrations will carry the unmistakable flavor of the wild.
