#BrusselsAirlines announces #Kalamata in #Greece as new destination from end April next year

MORE SUMMER 2018 DESTINATIONS FOR BRUSSELS AIRLINES

(Posted 21st October 2017)

Located on the scenic Peloponnesus peninsula in the heart of Messenia, the Kalamata region is one of the fastest growing tourism destinations in Greece. Since the development of the regional airport some years ago, Kalamata has been selected as destination of choice by many French, German, Italian, British and Scandinavian travelers.

Thanks to Brussels Airlines’ new service that starts on 28th of April next year, Kalamata will also be reachable from Brussels Airport with just a 3 hour flight. This particular Greek airport is currently not directly served from Brussels and the launch of the once per week flight will add yet another destination over and above those already announced earlier on, both as initiated directly by Brussels Airlines and after the acquisition of Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium.

Said Frédéric Dechamps, Vice President Sales Benelux Brussels Airlines: ‘With Kalamata we introduce holidaymakers to a new very authentic destination. Those who want to explore the area on their own, can book a flight only via Brussels Airlines, but we are also cooperating with several tour operators who have already decided to add Kalamata to their holiday offer now that we offer direct flights. Thanks to its infrastructure, the region is also very interesting for Meetings and Incentives travel‘.
