#BrusselsAirlines updates on Tel Aviv flights

(Posted 24th February 2024)

After careful consideration within all relevant departments, Brussels Airlines has decided to restart its flights to Tel Aviv as from March 24, 2024, under a defined set of precautionary measures.

The Belgian airline will start with operating three flights per week on Monday, Thursday and Sunday from Brussels. Our booking system has been updated with this flight schedule as of today.

These flights will take place until the end of April. In a later stage, frequencies and timings may be adjusted, in cooperation with all carriers of Lufthansa Group.

The security of both crew and passengers remains our priority. Brussels Airlines will keep on monitoring the situation in the region very closely and remain in contact with all concerned authorities. If circumstances would change, we will act accordingly.

Extra background:

In December 2023, Lufthansa Group’s security department decided that flights to Tel Aviv could be restarted, subject to the necessary security measures. Lufthansa, Austrian and Swiss resumed flights to Tel Aviv on January 8, 2024.

Brussels Airlines decided not to resume flights at that moment as amongst others the seat load factor was still very low. The booking numbers are now slowly evolving and – after careful consideration and under a defined set of precautionary measures – the airline decided to restart its operations with three weekly flights.
