Carlson Rezidor opens second Park Inn in East Africa

PARK INN KIGALI JOINS CARLSON REZIDOR’S ROLLOUT IN EASTERN AFRICA

(Posted 05th May 2017)

The Park Inn Kigali will officially open its doors tomorrow, 06th of May, and ‘finally‘ some may say.

This will be the second Carlson Rezidor brand in Kigali, following the opening a year ago of the Radisson Blu Hotel and Conference Centre in Kigali and the second Park Inn in Nairobi, following the opening last month of the Nairobi Park Inn at Westlands.

Carlson Rezidor has been aiming at increasing its regional and continental footprint for some time now and in Nairobi is a third property under construction while the company’s top brand, the ‘Quorvus Collection‘ will some time this year open its first hotel in Kampala / Uganda when the ‘Pearl of Africa Hotel‘ on top of Nakasero Hill expects to take in their first guests.

Like the Park Inn Westlands in Nairobi will the Park Inn Kigali also make an entry as one of if not the most contemporary and colourful ‘new generation’‘ hospitality business in Kigali, not just looking different from other hotels but also following the same service philosophy as the sister property in the Kenyan capital.

General Manager is Mr. Thomas Stene, a Norwegian citizen, who no doubt has his entire team at the ready when the doors of the new hotel open in 24 hours.
Offering 161 rooms and suites, plus conferencing facilities spread over 4 meeting rooms able to accommodate as many as 500 people at a go is the new hotel adding capacity in the 4 star segment, boosting the MICE marketing drive Rwanda had going on for the past 3 years since the Convention Bureau was launched.

The hotel’s 24 / 7 restaurant is aptly called ‘Live Inn Room‘ while guests looking for entertainment can patronized the Pool Bar, the Lobby Bar or else visit the ‘JJ Nightclub‘ within the hotel premises for a night out while staying indoors.
